Summer Day Camps
Summer can be long, hot and a challenge for both children and parents. That’s why Norval United Church offers 5 weeks of full day day camps that are fun, engaging, and affordable for kids entering Senior Kindergarten all the way through to Gr. 5 with a volunteer service option for grades 6-8. We also offer Fantastic Fun Fridays during July.
The Summer Day Camp program is led by college-aged Summer Day Camp Directors, several high school aged Counselors, and various adult and youth volunteers from Norval United.
We are accepting applications for SUMMER COUNSELLORS
We are also accepting applications for MIDDLE SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS
A pamphlet detailing each camp can be found here: 2016 SUMMER CAMPS BROCHURE

Our 50th Annual Chicken BBQ
was held Saturday, May 28th
The numbers are still being finalized but the BBQ was another wonderful success!
We will have raised a lot of money for the work of the church but, even more importantly in so many ways, we continued to build community - people working together, people eating together, talking, laughing, catching up with old and new frieds. The Spirit of God was moving at that chicken BBQ!!
The Silent Auction, which was offered to support the Children's Ministries of the church brought in around $2,000. We thank all our wonderful donors and bidders for helping out in this special way.
We want to thank all those who worked at the BBQ in the many, many avenues of service. Special thanks to Phil and Lyn Brennan for co-ordinating this year's BBQ. They did a fantastic job.
MPP Ted Arnott was present at the BBQ, as was Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonette. The mayor presented 4 certficates to women who had worked the BBQ for 50 years. He recognized Marie Carney, Glenn Laidlaw, Gwen Laidlaw, and Phyllis Moffatt. They represented the hundreds and hundreds of folks who have worked hte BBQ over the last 50 years.
We'll take a break, let the pie digest, and then start planning for 2017's 51st Chicken BBQ!! God is good. We are blessed.
